Sea trout

The sea has been a part of my life since always. I grew up on the island of Hiiumaa. Since childhood fishing has been my chosen way of spending free time.
Since 2012 I have been actively involved in seatrout fishing. The ability to learn and discover through my own mistakes has made this hobby an integral part of my life. This passion became my livelihood – I have been active as a fishing guide for the past 5 years.

I am of the opinion that it is imperative that we act responsibly in fishing, since fish is a natural resource and must be taken care of. In my private time I also contribute to fish protection efforts, so that fish can be spawning safely.

Sea trout, brown trout, pike, perch, ice fishing, fishing guide trips to Finland & Norway

I have been fishing for my entire life. My first memory is fishing for pike with my brother at our lakeside home. We still used Nevsjaka rolls at the time. A lot has changed over the years and South-Estonian lakeside has become the sea, where I do most of my fishing. I spend a lot of time on the hunt for sea trout, but I also fish for pike and perch. I also enjoy exploring our Estonian rivers, which have many streams suitable for brown trout. I spend more than 200 days per year fishing, which allows me to have current knowledge about the best fishing spots and techniques according to season.

In addition to fishing I film video footage and write about my experiences. During the last years, I have written articles for almost every issue of “Kalastaja” (“Fisherman”) magazine.

Sea trout, pike, perch

Fishing has been my favorite pastime ever since I can recall my first angling adventure as a 3-year-old boy. In recent years I have became as fishing guide.

My primary targets as fishing guide are sea trout, pike, and perch. For about 10 months of the year, my focus is on the pursuit of sea trout. During inclement weather or on days off, I indulge in the art of crafting lures. As autumn arrives, my attention shifts to the protection of spawning fishes, turning this pursuit into a lifestyle rather than just a hobby.

My fishing endeavors predominantly unfold by the sea, along rivers, and beside lakeshores. This connection to the water and the outdoors not only brings joy but also allows me to share my experiences in both English and Estonian languages. Join me on my angling escapades as we explore the rich tapestry of nature and the thrill of reeling in the perfect catch.

Perch, hook, pike, ice fishing – traditional and live technology fishing

From the early days with live baits and simple wooden sticks, my passion for fishing has evolved into a lifelong pursuit. Upgrading from wooden sticks to advanced carbonite rods and titanium reels, I now specialize in targeting predatory fish like perch, zander, and pike in the southern regions of Estonia.

My focus is on the thrill of the chase, particularly through kayak fishing in smaller lakes and remote locations. I find joy in catching and releasing, allowing the fish to thrive for another day. Engaging in fishing competitions across Estonia and neighboring countries has become a recent endeavor, not just to compete but to learn, gain knowledge, and continually evolve as an angler. It’s not merely about the catch; it’s a journey towards excellence that fishing guides me through.

Sea trout, pike, perch, ice fishing

Fishing is not just a hobby for me, but also an integral part of my whole life. You can even call it a lifestyle. I have been fishing almost since I was born. It all started with a bamboo fishing rod with a float and now it’s quality equipment, boats, motors and electronics.

I go fishing all year round. My fishing season never ends and i have fished all over Europe due to my work in transport and logistics.

Each fishing trip brings more and more new experiences for me. I always try to learn something new and always follow the trends in the world of recreational fishing.

My basic communication takes place mostly in Estonian and Russian, but my opinion is that when you are fishing, you don’t need words to understand each other and each other’s emotions!

Feeder fishing, float fishing

Ever since I witnessed the float disappearing beneath the water’s surface during my first fishing trips with my father, I’ve been captivated by fishing. That single moment ignited a passion within me that continues to burn brightly to this day. Now i have desire to share the profound joy of fishing with others.

Over the past nine years, I’ve immersed myself in the exhilarating world of competitive fishing, embracing both the sun-drenched days of summer and the frosty challenges of winter. Across numerous world championships, I’ve proudly represented my country, casting my line amidst the best fishermen of the world.

My expertise lies mainly in the art of feeder fishing and mainly I can be found on the rivers and lakes of southern Estonia. Yet, for a change, I also seek the thrill of catching pike, zander and perch in the serene waters of Emajõgi surrounded by enchanting landscapes of South Estonia.

I also contribute to our future generations by teaching children the secrets of fishing and helping them become strong and nature-aware fishermen.

Spinning reel fishing, ice fishing – zander, perch, pike

Fishing has been an essential part of my life for as long as I can remember. I spent my summers on the water both in Karepa, a fishing village in Northern Estonia, and in Pärnu, where my father was a captain and ran a fishing fleet, and developed a deep passion for fishing and nature. For me, recreational fishing started with river trout fishing in Karepa, which I still enjoy today. In 2014, this led to the desire to create a recreational site that would be ideal for recreational fishers. Today, I am the Head of the Sauga Fishing Village, which is located by the Sauga River in Pärnu and offers fishing and leisure services, accommodation, and restaurant and harbour services. I conduct fishing trips in Pärnu County, focusing on zander, perch, and pike. My fishing trips are suitable for beginners and experienced anglers alike, offering the chance to discover new fishing spots and improve your skills. As a good communicator, I believe it is important to make every trip a special experience. I value responsible and sustainable fishing – it helps to ensure that our waters have plenty of fish for future generations.
